Description:
Plateau is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This position is based out of our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA.
Job Duties include:
- Drive the identification, development, and implementation of new product functionality and enhancements
- Determine the priority of features within the overall product plan
- Translate features and enhancements into specifications that are used by engineers during their development
- Determine the scope and schedule of product releases
- Contribute to product collateral and data sheets that accurately and clearly define the products' capabilities
- Communicate the capabilities of the product suite to customers, partners and internal staff
- Meet with customers to determine needs and to define new product functionality
- Participate in the analysis of the market landscape and competitive threats/ opportunities, including detailed analysis of key competitors
- Maintain a working knowledge of current software technologies
- Monitor the software industry for technological advancements that could improve the product suite
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS or advanced degree required
- Minimum of 6 years experience in software product management, plus some enterprise software experience
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- A thorough understanding of software development and computer/Internet technologies
- Excellent client and personal relationship skills; enthusiastic, hard working and pleasant attitude
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment
