WINfirst Selects Plateau Systems to Manage Learning for Sales, Customer Service and Product Teams

Integration of Plateau 4 LMS to Fully Automate Delivery of Education to Employees

ARLINGTON, VA September 20, 2001 Plateau Systems, a provider of enterprise software that manages learning and knowledge processes for organizations, today announced that WINfirst has selected Plateau to manage learning across the company. WINfirst will deploy the Plateau 4 Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver a variety of soft skills, as well as product, safety and technical training courses to employees. WINfirst is also integrating Plateau 4 LMS with its Human Resources Information System to fully automate career development - enabling employee-training requirements to match changes in job positions, career goals and locations.

For our employees to be able to truly delight our customers we need consistent, high quality training delivered cost-effectively across the company, said Dennis Lowry, WINfirst's Vice President of Human Resources. The Plateau 4 LMS, with its Java-based open architecture, gave us the ability to rapidly deploy a solution that aligned employee learning with our operational and business objectives.

Plateau 4 LMS is the latest version of Plateau's award-winning learning management system. It leverages Plateau's existing LMS strengths - learning-object driven content management, configuration management, adaptive learning, and domain security with a J2EE/EJB-based architecture, giving it unique scalability, flexibility and security. It also allows WINfirst to rapidly integrate Plateau 4 LMS with other enterprise applications to align learning with the automated processes that drive business.

WINfirst, a provider of broadband communications to consumers, selected Plateau 4 LMS after an intensive evaluation focusing on overall software architecture, functionality around resource scheduling, and the ability to manage and revise mission-critical training requirements.

WINfirst is a company that truly understands the value of technology solutions that are interoperable, scalable and easily integrated with other applications, said Brad Cooper, Plateau's Senior Vice President. Our partnership with WINfirst will enable us to create an integrated learning and knowledge delivery solution that will grow with their business.
