U.S. News Customer Survey Ranks Plateau Systems Highest Among 'Enterprise-Level' LMS Providers

Plateau only company in Top 10 to also be named by Brandon Hall in enterprise-class short list

ARLINGTON, Va. October 17, 2001 Plateau Systems, a provider of enterprise-class software that manages learning and knowledge processes for organizations, was rated highest among the learning management systems (LMS) that have demonstrated they are capable of handling large-scale implementations across an enterprise in a customer satisfaction survey conducted for U.S. News & World Report.

The survey of LMS vendors, which appeared with similar customer surveys for content authoring tools and live e-Learning systems, was featured in the October 15 issue of U.S. News and on USNews.com. Customers were surveyed in the spring and summer of 2001 by brandon-hall.com, a leading e-Learning research consultant.

This year, brandon-hall.com rated Plateau on its prominent enterprise-level short list. In that report, researchers selected 10 LMS providers out of 60 for their ability to: scale up to large implementations; adhere to industry standards; connect with other enterprise systems; combine e-Learning and classroom management; and operate easily with third-party courseware.

Plateau was the only company from brandon-hall.com's enterprise-level short list to rank among the top 10 in the U.S. News study.

I'm proud to see our product and our team once again rated among the best in the e-Learning industry, said Plateau CEO Paul Sparta. These results reflect the fact that we focus on execution, in that our LMS installs quickly, runs smoothly and is backed up by strong technical support. We have built the system to function just as steadily with 500,000 users as it does with 500.

In U.S. News' separate survey of live e-learning systems, the top-ranked company was Interwise, which two weeks ago announced a partnership with Plateau to provide synchronous, interactive distance learning courses.

The survey reinforces Plateau's strong track record in customer satisfaction. In a June survey of 140 companies that use learning management systems, the Plateau LMS and its sales and support team received the highest overall satisfaction score of the 22 LMS vendors included.
