Plateau Continues to Provide Financial Institution with Tools to Maximize Staff Development

ARLINGTON, VA March 14, 2002 Plateau Systems, a provider of software that manages learning and knowledge processes for organizations, announced today that Rockland Trust Company has selected the Plateau Learning Management System (LMS) to manage training and career development for employees at more than 50 branch offices, nine Commercial Lending centers, three Mortgage Banking centers and three Investment Management Group offices throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. Rockland Trust Company will use Plateau LMS to schedule, deliver and manage continuous learning objectives for employees. A critical component of Rockland Trust's employee training is career planning. The company needed an application that would assess the bank's entire population and assist in tracking performance training needs and history. Rockland Trust will use Plateau LMS planning tools, which include skill gap and candidate analysis and secure competency assessment data, to help employees develop appropriate career plans and to enable administrators to identify the most qualified employees for job openings.

Another key element of the upgrade is the ability to schedule employees across the organization through e-mail notification. Plateau LMS automatically notifies employees when they need training, detects and resolves schedule conflicts and adjusts resources as necessary to increase attendance and maximize employee productivity.
