Plateau, General Physics form alliance to provide fully integrated learning solutions

Providers will work together to leverage GP's hosting, implementation and support services for Plateau LMS

ARLINGTON, VA - June 19, 2002 - Plateau Systems, a provider of enterprise software that manages all of an organization's learning and knowledge, and General Physics Corporation (GP), a wholly owned subsidiary of GP Strategies Corporation (NYSE: GPX), today announced an alliance that will allow both companies to offer complete learning solutions customized to client's specific business needs.

GP e-Learning Technologies, a division of GP, are experts in the consultation, design and implementation of e-learning solutions for Global 2000 corporations and business associations. The agreement allows GP e-Learning to develop custom solutions for Plateau's enterprise-class Learning Management System (LMS), which is built on scalable, J2EE-based open architecture and has been successfully implemented in some of the most demanding training environments in the world. In turn, Plateau will have a veteran partner with years of experience building "virtual universities" and integrating learning systems into a company's broader IT infrastructure.

"For many years, General Physics has been a crucial asset for organizations that invest in learning systems, because of their skill in understanding business needs, adapting technologies and choosing providers," said Plateau Chairman and CEO Paul Sparta. "GP has a special understanding of Plateau's benefit for highly technical, training-intensive industries such as energy and manufacturing, and we're pleased to be able to work together with them."

"It's particularly gratifying to work with Plateau because their LMS has been engineered to integrate easily with a company's other enterprise systems, which makes our job easier," said Don Duquette, Vice President of GP e-Learning Technologies. "Their scalable learning application is an excellent fit with our hosting capacity, consulting services and library of courses."
