ARLINGTON, VA April 21, 2003 -- Plateau Systems, a provider of enterprise software that manages all of an organization's learning and knowledge, today announced that Plateau co-founder and Senior Vice President Brad Cooper will give a presentation on government and military readiness at the Learning and Training Week 2003 Conference and Expo on Wednesday, April 30, at 4 p.m. Held at the new Washington D.C. Convention Center, the expo is one of the largest e-Learning and training conferences in the nation.
Cooper's presentation, The LMS as a Government and Military Readiness Tool, will discuss how learning management systems (LMS) are being used at agencies and military commands that need to respond to emergencies and deploy the right personnel for specific tasks. Because the LMS provides real-time visibility into the wide range of skills and competencies throughout an organization's supply chain, it can rapidly determine which people are best suited to respond to a given crisis or situation. Cooper also will be available at Plateau's booth, #226.
Additionally, Plateau is a sponsor of the e-Learning Charity Golf Classic on Friday, May 2, at the Bretton Woods Golf Course in Germantown, MD. Proceeds of the Charity Golf Classic, being hosted by Welocalize and Learning and Training Week 2003, go to Heads Up, a University Neighborhood Initiative.
